Trump Blames Reiner’s Murder on ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’

US President Donald Trump has unfairly linked Hollywood director Rob Reiner’s murder to a fictional mental condition he calls “Trump derangement syndrome.” The attack occurred just days after Reiner criticized Trump.

Reiner, his wife Michele Singer, and their 32-year-old son Nick were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles home on Sunday. However, authorities have stated that there is no connection between the couple’s politics and the killings.

Trump made the baseless claim about Reiner on social media, prompting outrage from some of his fellow Republicans. They condemned the attack as “inappropriate and disrespectful discourse.”

Reiner was a vocal critic of Trump in the past. In 2016, he told CNN that Trump “has the mind of a child” and that he was “unfit to be president.” However, there is no evidence linking his views on Trump to the tragic event.

The Reiners’ son Nick had struggled with drug abuse and homelessness before his arrest on Sunday night. He faces $4 million bail for the murder charges against him.
