Trump Mobile has been touting its upcoming T1 Phone as “Made in the USA” designed with American values in mind. However, a recent social media post from the company’s account features an image that bears an uncanny resemblance to a Samsung Galaxy S25 phone case, complete with the Spigen logo.
Spigen has responded by saying it had a “lawsuit incoming,” suggesting they may have been involved in creating the mock-up image. The incident is not the first time questions have been raised about the T1 Phone’s authenticity. After its initial announcement in June, the specs changed on Trump Mobile’s website, and claims of American-made production were deleted.
The company’s website still promises a 6.2-inch punch-hole AMOLED screen, 50-MP main camera, and AI face unlock, but many remain skeptical about the phone’s existence. With a $499 price tag that includes a $100 deposit for shipping and service, customers are essentially committing to Trump Mobile without clear details.
While users can request a full refund before receiving the phone, it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to trust what they’ll receive. The T1 Phone’s initial release date was set for August, but with this latest development, many wonder if the phone is anything more than a marketing scam.
