Trump Rejects Nobel Peace Prize Nomination Citing “Liberals Only”

US President Donald Trump has renewed his claims that he should have won the Nobel Peace Prize multiple times, despite being nominated by Pakistan for the 2026 award. The Pakistani government cited Trump’s “decisive diplomatic intervention” during the India-Pakistan crisis as the reason for the nomination.

Trump stated that he helped de-escalate tensions between the two nuclear powers, but his claim has been dismissed by the Indian government. He also mentioned a peace agreement aimed at ending hostilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda conflict, although details remain unclear.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually to individuals who promote peace and resolve conflicts. Trump has received multiple nominations, particularly for his role in normalizing agreements between Israel and Arab states. However, he has not been awarded the prize due to concerns about his approach to diplomacy.

Trump’s comments suggest that he believes his efforts are undervalued by the Nobel Committee, which has never publicly commented on his candidacy. The US President claims that he should have won the prize four or five times, stating “they won’t give me because they only give it to liberals.”
