Trump Says Iran ‘Finished’ from a Military Standpoint

President Donald Trump has expressed confidence in his country’s ability to protect the Strait of Hormuz, which is crucial for global oil supplies. He said from a military standpoint, Iran is “finished” but its presence is still clogging up the waterway. To keep it open, Trump requires help from other countries. He described the operation as a simple maneuver that can be executed with sufficient ships and volume.

Trump also criticized the execution of three men accused of violence during Iran’s anti-government protests last year, calling them “thugs” and “animals.” However, he acknowledged that such actions are not surprising given the tense situation between the US and Iran. The President was also asked about plans to target Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf, which is vital to Iran’s oil network. While he wouldn’t disclose details, Trump hinted at a possible plan being discussed.
