Trump Suggests Ending War with Iran After Weak Response

US President Donald Trump has expressed his intention to end the war between Israel and Iran, stating that he wants a deal and doesn’t want any more war. The White House official told Axios that Trump’s goal now is to bring an end to the conflict, which would suggest he does not plan to retaliate against Iran.

However, some have questioned whether this statement means Iran will stop its attacks on Israel or continue shooting missiles as part of a war of attrition. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini has warned that the Iranian nation isn’t one that surrenders.

The Trump administration was aware of the threat posed by Iran’s attack on Al Udeid Air Base and expressed gratitude to Iran for providing early notice, which prevented any casualties or injuries. The statement from Iran’s Supreme National Security Council noted that the number of missiles fired at Qatar was equal to the number of bombs dropped on Iran’s nuclear sites.

Trump also stated that he is pleased with Iran’s response, claiming that it has “gotten it all out of their system” and there will be no further HATE. He hopes that Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region and will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.

The chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Gen. Eyal Zamir, said that the IDF is close to achieving its war objectives, which could mean an end to the conflict within a few days. The Israeli security cabinet has convened to discuss next steps, with the main question being whether Iran will stop its attacks on Israel or continue shooting missiles as part of a war of attrition.
