Trump Vows to ‘Get Greenland’ with or Without Military Force

US President Donald Trump has reaffirmed his intention to acquire Greenland, saying “we’ll get Greenland” despite Denmark’s rebuff. In an interview with NBC News, Trump claimed he had conversations about annexing the Danish territory and stated that military force is not necessarily needed for the US takeover.

Vice President Mike Pence visited a US military installation in Greenland last week, where he met with senior officials and criticized Denmark’s security measures, saying the country has “underinvested” in protecting its territory. Pence emphasized that the US will pursue ownership of Greenland to enhance international security.

Trump rejected criticism from Denmark’s foreign minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, who accused the Trump administration of speaking in an “aggressive tone.” The US president insists he is willing to negotiate with Denmark and other countries to acquire Greenland, but only if they offer significant value.

In a separate statement, Trump discussed his national security team and a recent controversy surrounding Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. He defended his administration against accusations of witch hunts and fake news, and claimed confidence in his national security team despite the incident.
