Tyler Perry Slams Insurance Companies Over Homes Lost In LA Wildfires

Filmmaker Tyler Perry has spoken out against insurance companies for canceling policies of Los Angeles homeowners before the devastating wildfires, leaving thousands without protection.

The LA fires, which burned over 38,000 acres, forced about 180,000 residents to evacuate their homes. Many celebrities lost their properties, including Adam Brody, Anthony Hopkins, and Paris Hilton. Insurance companies Chubb, Tokio Marine America Insurance Co., Trans Pacific Insurance Co., and Allstate have halted or stopped policies in affected areas.

Perry expressed his outrage on Instagram, saying he couldn’t understand why insurance firms could cancel millions of policies, leaving people who had paid premiums for years with nothing. He criticized the greed of these companies, stating that they took billions from communities but cancelled policies when needed most.

Despite his frustration, Perry also wants to help those affected by the wildfires. He shared a statement expressing his desire to assist and prayed for those in need. Many of his followers joined him in condemning the insurance companies’ actions, with some questioning their legal rights to cancel policies.
