The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has let go head coach Trent Dilfer after the Blazers’ third consecutive loss, falling to 2-4 in the season. With a 9-21 record in two-plus seasons, Dilfer’s performance did not meet expectations. Athletic director Mark Ingram expressed gratitude for Dilfer’s dedication and commitment but acknowledged that his on-field results were subpar. The team will be led by interim coach Alex Mortensen until further notice.
