Ubisoft has confirmed that it’s launching a major update for its tactical shooter game, Rainbow Six Siege X, which promises to revolutionize the experience with significant upgrades across all aspects of the game.
The new season, titled Operation Prep Phase, is set to be released alongside Year 10 Season 2 in June 2025. This update introduces a new operator, Rauora, who comes with two primary weapons and a unique Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.) Launcher that allows players to deploy bulletproof smart covers.
The changes will bring significant improvements to the game’s graphical and audio capabilities, as well as deeper tactical gameplay. Ubisoft has described it as “the biggest transformation in the game’s history.”
This update is timely for Ubisoft, which has been facing challenges with other games like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws. Rainbow Six Siege remains one of its most successful titles, making this move a strategic one.
A showcase for Rainbow Six Siege X will be held on March 13-14, where players can learn more about the updates and gameplay changes. For now, fans can stay up-to-date with the latest news and guides by following PC gaming content on Google News or joining the community Discord.
