UConn vs South Carolina Women’s Basketball Championship Game

UConn (2) will face off against reigning champions South Carolina (1) in the women’s college basketball championship game on Sunday, April 6, 2025. The game will tip off at 3 p.m. ET and air live on ABC.

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley has led her team to a perfect 3-0 record in national championship games, including a national title in 2022. Her squad boasts a strong roster with stars such as Joyce Edwards, MiLaysia Fulwiley, Chloe Kitts, Te-Hina Paopao, and Sania Feagin.

UConn, led by coach Geno Auriemma, is looking to add another title to his legacy after winning 11 national championships. The Huskies are known for their star power, including Paige Bueckers, who has been unstoppable this tournament with impressive stats, including 26.4 points per game.

The two teams have a long and storied rivalry, with UConn leading the all-time series 10-5. However, South Carolina has been gaining momentum lately, and the Gamecocks are looking to dethrone the Huskies and cement their own dynasty.

The championship game will be played at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, and fans can follow along live on NCAA.com. The stage is set for what promises to be an exciting matchup between two of the best teams in women’s college basketball.
