UFC Settles with Former Fighters for $375 Million

A US District Court judge has approved a settlement agreement between the UFC and a group of former fighters who filed a lawsuit against the promotion over 11 years ago. The plaintiffs will receive $375 million, following an initial figure of $335 million. The settlement includes fighters from 2010 to 2017, with those from after 2017 still involved in an ongoing antitrust lawsuit.

The court approval comes after the parties agreed on a revised settlement agreement in September, addressing Judge Boulware’s concerns about fairness and equity. UFC attorneys have now encouraged former fighters to file for their share of the settlement.

Eric Cramer, attorney for the fighters, stated that while justice has been partially achieved, the battle continues with an ongoing lawsuit against the UFC. The promotion expressed satisfaction with the revised agreement, believing it addresses Judge Boulware’s concerns and marks a positive outcome for all parties involved.
