Uganda Reports First Ebola Outbreak in Two Years

Uganda has announced a new Ebola outbreak, with one nurse dying of the virus in Kampala. This marks the country’s first major outbreak in two years. Emergency response procedures have been activated to address the situation. In 2022, Uganda reported 164 cases and 55 deaths from Ebola over four months. The previous outbreak ended in early 2023, but this new incident has raised concerns about the resurgence of the virus.
