Ukraine Destroys Russian Missile Troops with Precision Strike

Ukraine launched a successful missile strike on June 5 targeting Russian missile troops near the city of Klintsy in Bryansk Oblast, according to Ukrainian General Staff reports.

The strike reportedly destroyed one Iskander missile launcher and damaged two others. The targeted unit was part of Russia’s 26th Missile Brigade and had attempted to fire on Ukrainian territory before being hit.

Ukrainian forces used effective reconnaissance and coordinated efforts to successfully destroy the targets. Assessments of Russian losses are ongoing, with no civilian casualties reported.

The Iskander missile system, which Russia uses for precision strikes against military and infrastructure targets, was a key target in the strike. The system has a range of up to 500 kilometers and can carry conventional or nuclear warheads.

The attack comes as part of Ukraine’s efforts to degrade Russia’s offensive capabilities. On the same night, Russia launched multiple drones and one Iskander-M ballistic missile against Ukrainian territory.
