Ukraine has signed a major drone co-production deal with the US company Swift Beat, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on July 3 during his visit to Denmark. The agreement will see Ukraine and Swift Beat work together to produce various types of drones.
Meanwhile, Russia launched waves of missile and drone attacks across Ukraine overnight on July 4, striking a residential building in Kyiv.
The situation in Ukraine remains tense as the war with Russia continues. Ukraine’s military has vowed to continue strengthening its army, training its troops, and involving more people in defense to deliver a strong response to the enemy.
Separately, a Ukrainian court ruled that Russia must pay over $1.5 billion in damages and 300,000 euros to Ukraine’s largest state-owned bank due to a dispute over a US company’s alleged involvement in spying activities.
In other news, Manolis Pilavov, an alleged spy wanted by Ukraine since 2015, was arrested during a special operation in Lviv Oblast. He had been recruited through his ex-wife, a former military officer now cooperating with Russian forces in occupied Melitopol.
