UNC Health Pardee Enforces Visitor Restrictions Amid Rising Influenza Cases

UNC Health Parde is limiting visitors in all inpatient areas of its hospital in Western North Carolina due to a surge in influenza cases and other respiratory illnesses. Starting Monday, January 13, patients will only be allowed two visitors per room, with the visitors’ ages limited to 18 years old.

Visitors are also encouraged to wear masks during peak flu seasons, although it’s not mandatory. The hospital advises everyone to practice good hand hygiene before, after visiting patients, and when entering or leaving the hospital.
