Unilever has confirmed it’s in advanced talks to merge its food business with spice maker McCormick. The proposed deal, worth around $60 billion, including debt, could create a new food giant. A cash-and-stock merger is expected to be announced on Tuesday when McCormick reports its latest quarterly results, but the plans are still uncertain and may change.
