A patient who traveled to the US after experiencing flu-like symptoms in Tanzania has been released from isolation at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center. According to a hospital spokesperson, the patient’s condition was deemed “routine” by infectious disease specialists and the Ohio Department of Health. The patient had arrived in Cleveland from a region with a deadly virus outbreak and was treated with proper masking and isolation protocols. Caregivers were commended for their swift actions in caring for the patient while ensuring the safety of others.
