Apple is set to release new features as part of its ongoing Apple Intelligence update series. Although iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.2 have introduced several notable features, there are still more capabilities on the way.
One major update expected in 2025 is Priority Notifications, which will allow users to see priority notifications at the top of their notification stack, helping them filter out non-essential messages. Apple also plans to enhance Siri with personal context, on-screen awareness, and deeper app integration.
In this enhanced version of Siri, users can ask Siri to perform actions like sending a photo or moving files between apps using natural language commands. This will significantly improve Siri’s ability to get things done. Apple aims to achieve these features without compromising user privacy by processing them in-device.
Other notable updates include the addition of Genmoji on Macs via macOS Sequoia 15.3, which is currently beta testing for January 2025 release. Memory movies for Macs will also be introduced, allowing users to create a slideshow from their photos and videos using just a text description.
Furthermore, Apple plans to add support for languages beyond English in 2025, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Vietnamese, and more. The company is set to release iOS 18.4 with these new features expected in April 2024.
