Upper East Side Luxury Homes Take Center Stage Again

The Upper East Side of Manhattan has regained its popularity as a luxury real estate hotspot, according to a recent report by Olshan Realty. In the last two weeks, the neighborhood accounted for nearly half of all luxury home deals signed in Manhattan, outpacing other areas such as Downtown.

A total of 14 luxury homes were sold on the Upper East Side for at least $4 million, with 12 of those being co-ops. The most expensive listings were both four-bedroom co-op apartments: one on Fifth Avenue in Carnegie Hill asking $20 million and another on Park Avenue in Lenox Hill priced at $19.75 million.

These deals reflect a robust market, with last week’s total sales totaling $229.2 million and an average asking price of $7.3 million. While the number of contracts signed was down compared to previous weeks, it still aligns with the overall trend seen in the spring selling season.
