US Home Prices Slow as Buyers Face Rising Rates

US home prices rose by 2.7% over the past year, the smallest gain since August 2023, according to new data from S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller. This marks a deceleration in the pace of price growth, which had slowed down from the previous month’s 3.4% annual increase. The slowdown is attributed to buyers pulling back as high interest rates continue to squeeze their purchasing power.
