US Involved More in Ukraine War than Admitted

The US broke its own rules to help Ukraine in a pivotal moment of the war. According to a New York Times investigation, the Biden administration secretly involved itself more deeply in Ukrainian military operations than was publicly disclosed.

In a key episode, the administration changed its policy on supporting Ukraine after President Biden signed a bill that would aid Ukraine’s efforts against Russia. This shift marked a significant departure from previous US policies and raises questions about whether the move was done with consideration for international laws or simply to support a preferred ally.

The investigation by The New York Times found that the State Department revoked the visa of a Tufts University student who had been working on Ukraine aid, amid reports that some Trump officials had texted war plans on a Signal app.
