US Passports Lose Visa-Free Access Ranking

The United States has seen a significant decline in its passport strength over the past decade. According to the Henley Passport Index, American citizens now have visa-free access to 186 out of 227 destinations, ranking them second from last. This represents a drop from being the second-strongest passport to ninth place. Venezuela has taken over as the country with the weakest passport, while Chinese citizens have seen an increase in their visa-free access. The decline is attributed to restrictions imposed by various countries and increased security measures.
