US Plans Soft-Power Push for Greenland Annexation

The US is set to launch a PR campaign aimed at annexing Greenland, according to sources. Despite President Trump’s veiled threats of military action, the administration has instead opted for a soft-power approach.

A source briefed on the matter revealed that Trump’s braintrust plans to use advertising and social media outreach efforts to appeal to Greenlanders’ shared heritage with Alaskan Inuit people. The campaign aims to create a sense of kinship between the two groups.

While the US has ruled out using force, the plan involves offering a sweeter deal to the Danish territory’s government, including increased funding for services and potentially $10,000 per year to each Greenlander as part of an American takeover. This approach seeks to counter Denmark’s current annual allocation of over $600 million.

However, Danish and local leaders have strongly opposed any talk of annexation, with Trump having previously touted Greenland as a security buffer that could make its residents “rich”. The US plan aims to persuade the island’s leaders otherwise.
