US Presidential Election: Harris and Trump in Tight Race

A recent New York Times/Siena College poll has shown that the US presidential election between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump is neck-and-neck, with the candidates locked in a tight race in the country’s seven battleground states. The poll found Vice President Harris to have marginal leads in Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, while former President Trump trails behind by a small margin in Arizona.

In contrast, Trump leads among voters who say they are likely to vote but have not yet cast their ballots. However, when looking at early voters, Harris has a significant 8 percentage point lead over Trump. The poll also noted that Trump is gaining ground in Pennsylvania, a state where Harris had previously held a four percentage point advantage.

Both candidates will be campaigning heavily in the battleground states this weekend. Trump will appear in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia on Sunday, while Harris will focus her efforts on Michigan. With only two days left until the election, the outcome is still uncertain, but the polls suggest that the race is as close as ever.
