US Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is accused of berating two police officers at Charleston International Airport on Thursday morning. In an incident report, one officer described Mace as “very irate” and using derogatory language, including cursing and calling the officers “incompetent”. Mace, who has been running for governor, claimed she was simply trying to draw attention to her safety concerns after receiving death threats. Airport officials stated that they were forced to take security measures seriously due to increased threats against her. The incident report shows that Mace arrived late in a different car than expected and caused delays, leading officers to become frustrated with her behavior.
