US Support for Joining Greenland Surveys High Majority

A recent poll by Patriot Polling found that a majority of Greenlanders support joining the United States. The survey, conducted during Donald Trump Jr.’s visit to the country, revealed that 57.3% of respondents approve of Greenland becoming part of the U.S., while 37.4% disapproved and 5.3% remained undecided.

The poll, which polled 416 people in Greenland, is the first of its kind outside the US by this group. It suggests support for Trump’s larger international plans, despite receiving a low rating from 538, another polling agency.

Trump has long been interested in acquiring Greenland due to its strategic importance to the US since at least the Cold War era. However, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has stated that Greenland is not for sale, dismissing the idea of US acquisition as unrealistic.
