US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has expressed confidence in the country’s economic health, stating that a recession is unlikely. In an interview with Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo, Bessent said the underlying economy is “healthy” and rejected the idea of assuring there won’t be a downturn, calling it “silly”.
