US, UK and South Korea Warn: North Korean Hackers Target Nuclear and Military Secrets

North Korean hackers are trying to steal sensitive information from governments and companies around the world, including nuclear and military secrets. The US, UK, and South Korea have warned about this group, known as Andariel and Onyx Sleet, which targets defence, aerospace, and engineering entities.

The hackers are seeking classified information on a wide range of topics, including uranium processing, tanks, submarines, and torpedoes. They have targeted countries such as the UK, US, South Korea, Japan, India, and others.

US air force bases, NASA, and defence companies have been targeted, and the group is believed to fund its activities through ransomware attacks on US healthcare entities.

The warning highlights the importance of protecting sensitive information and intellectual property to prevent theft and misuse. The hackers are also seeking information on robot machinery, mechanical arms, and 3D printing components.

This is not the first time North Korean hackers have been warned about. Previous high-profile incidents include an attack on Sony Pictures in 2014 and major thefts of millions of dollars by the Lazarus Group.
