UWM Seeks Funding for Engineering & Neuroscience Building Project

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) has submitted a request to the state for planning and design funding for its upcoming engineering and neuroscience building project. This investment will support the construction of a new facility that will house interdisciplinary research centers, laboratories, and classrooms.

The university aims to leverage this project as an opportunity to foster innovation, collaboration, and economic growth in the region. UWM President Melissa Spadanuda has expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating its potential to “drive forward” the university’s commitment to addressing pressing global challenges.

Governor Tony Evers supports the initiative, recognizing its importance in advancing research and development in key areas such as engineering, neuroscience, and data analytics. The funding request will be reviewed by state officials to determine eligibility and approval for the necessary planning and design phase of the project.
