Vail Resorts, Ski Patrol Union Reach Tentative Agreement

A tentative agreement has been reached between Vail Resorts and the Park City Mountain ski patrol union. The joint statement announced that a contract for the resort’s ski patrol and safety workers is now in place, valid through April 2027 if ratified by members.

The union, seeking improved pay and benefits, had gone on strike in March 2024 over contract details. After nearly two years of negotiations, the two sides have come to an agreement on all but three articles, with a focus on starting wages, parental leave, holiday pay, and healthcare stipends.

Park City Mayor Nann Worel and the city council called for both parties to resolve their differences, stating that the resort is “a cornerstone of Park City’s community well-being” and Vail Resorts has a responsibility to do so without delay.

The patroller union’s efforts have garnered public support, with the union far exceeding its Go Fund Me goal of $250,000.
