The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired forward Reilly Smith from the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Brendan Brisson and a third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Smith, 33, returns to Vegas after producing 29 points (10G, 19A) in 58 games this season with the Rangers. He has spent time with several teams, including Pittsburgh and Florida, before joining the Golden Knights six seasons ago.
The native of Ontario played a crucial role in the Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup victory in 2023, appearing in all 22 playoff games and scoring 14 points (4G, 10A). Smith ranks fifth in franchise history for games played (399), assists (162), and points (286).
Reilly Smith joined the Vegas team in 2017, acquired from Florida during the NHL Expansion Draft.
