A 33-year-old man in Vietnam who owned a dog meat restaurant has died of rabies just days after experiencing symptoms. Nguyen Van B., from Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, was found to have contracted the disease while handling an infected dog.
According to reports, Van B. initially sought medical care for fatigue and breathing difficulties but was later diagnosed with rabies at two hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite treatment, he insisted on leaving the hospital to return home, where his condition quickly deteriorated.
Van B.’s death highlights the risks of handling animals without proper precautions. The exact circumstances of his exposure are unclear, but many believe it occurred while handling an infected dog.
