A couple from Pennsylvania claims they were subjected to verbal harassment and abuse by an Eagles fan during a recent NFL game between the Packers and Eagles. Alex Basara and his fiancée Ally Keller, both Chester County residents, said they were having a friendly conversation with another Eagles fan when the situation took a dark turn.
According to Basara, the Eagles fan began making comments that started out as playful banter but quickly became aggressive and condescending as the game went on. The situation escalated when the fan called Keller ugly and made other personal attacks. Keller responded by saying she didn’t want to give the fan satisfaction by changing seats, but ultimately decided not to engage further.
Basara recorded the incident, which has gone viral after he posted it online. He says the fan continued to harass them even after his friend intervened, prompting Basara to keep recording until the situation was broken up.
The couple reported their experience to the Eagles team, who apologized for the fan’s behavior and promised not to let him attend future games at Lincoln Financial Field. However, they have yet to receive any gifts or compensation as promised by the team.
