Virginia Tech Lands Top Wide Receiver Carnell Warren for 2026 Class

Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry has made a significant recruiting move, landing four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren from Bluffton, South Carolina, for the 2026 class. This commitment comes as a major victory for Pry and the Hokies, who outrecruited top programs including Manny Diaz and Duke, Brent Key and Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest.

Warren, a junior at his current school, had an impressive season with 59 catches for 846 yards and 14 touchdowns. He cited Virginia Tech’s coaching staff as a key factor in his decision, praising Coach Pry’s approach and the relationship he built with Warren during his recruitment process.

“I knew it was going to be a place I wanted to play on Saturdays,” Warren said about Virginia Tech. “The coaching staff is really what I wanted, and they just keep it real with me – that’s something I need.”

This commitment marks a strong start for the Hokies in building their 2026 class, putting pressure on Pry and his staff to continue their successful recruiting efforts. With Warren on board, Virginia Tech is taking a step closer to bolstering its roster for the next season.
