Visa and Mastercard Settle with Merchants Over Fees

Visa and Mastercard are nearing a settlement with merchants to end a 20-year-old dispute over credit card fees. The agreement aims to lower fees, which currently range between 2% and 2.5%, by an average of 0.1 percentage point over several years.
