Vodafone has partnered with IBM to enhance its digital security service Secure Net with quantum-resistant technology. The two companies have developed a proof of concept using IBM’s post-quantum cryptography standards and Vodafone’s existing encryption methods. This collaboration aims to protect customers’ data from future risks associated with the development of quantum computers. As cybercriminals are already using “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks to store data for later decryption, this partnership seeks to address the growing threat of post-quantum computing.
