Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. saw its shares plummet by as much as 14% following a US lawsuit that claims the company’s pharmacists improperly filled prescriptions without legitimate medical purposes and then sought reimbursements from federal health programs. The stock had already lost 44% over the past 12 months before the suit was announced.
