Walmart Unveils Fresh New Logo After Nearly 20 Years

Walmart is introducing a new logo after nearly two decades, marking its first major brand refresh since 2008. The updated word mark features a typeface in bold and a darker blue color scheme, inspired by founder Sam Walton’s classic trucker hat. The iconic yellow spark has also received a subtle makeover.

In a statement, senior vice president William White said the logo update reflects Walmart’s evolving capabilities and commitment to serving customers. “As our customers evolve, we will too,” White stated. “Our Walmart will always be their Walmart, and our brand will always be a testament to how we innovate and change alongside them.”

The new logo will roll out across the company’s website, app, and in-store displays starting January 2025. The update aims to build credibility and connection with customers.
