Digital Extremes has outlined its plans for the next year of updates in Warframe, promising a mix of new quests, characters, and gameplay features that will keep fans engaged. The studio’s TennoCon live event revealed several major updates, including “The Old Peace,” a prelude to next year’s Tau update.
Set to launch at some point in 2025, “The Old Peace” quest takes players back to the Tau of the past, where they’ll encounter a childhood Sentient friend named Adis and experience the conflict between the Orokin, their creations, and a coalition of Dax Anarch Warriors. The side story, “The Devil’s Triad,” introduces three new characters: Father Lyon Allard, Marie Leroux, and Uriel.
Other updates include a new enemy faction, a Focus expansion with an Operator ability, and a graphical remaster for Warframe’s Operators. Fans can look forward to the release of the tuneful “Lullaby of the Manifold” on July 21st, which will also see Valkyrie get some new premium in-game cosmetic options.
Later this year, Digital Extremes will team up with Paizo to bring Warframe to tabletops in both physical and digital forms. The closed beta for Android is set to launch soon, and another major update, currently known as “untitled,” will introduce a cinematic tutorial about using Mods, which has been developed in collaboration with Sumo Digital.
The “untitled” update also includes an Oberon rework, a new Lavos deluxe skin, and quality-of-life improvements. Caliban Prime Access is set to arrive soon, and fans can look forward to the launch of Warframe’s Tau update in 2026, which will follow on from the events of “The Old Peace.”
