Warner Bros. Dates Alterations Revealed for CinemaCon Presentations

Warner Bros. is making preparations to unveil its upcoming slate of films at this year’s CinemaCon, scheduled to take place on March 31 in Las Vegas. The studio has announced several high-profile changes to its release calendar.

The most significant alteration is the move of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Frankenstein film, “The Bride,” from September 26, 2025, to March 6, 2026. Starring Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley, the movie is expected to benefit from an early spring release date that coincides with school breaks.

Additionally, Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” has been rescheduled from August 8 of this year to September 26, 2025, allowing for a global Imax release and time for installation of VistaVision projection systems. This move may mean the film won’t premiere at Cannes, but it is well-timed for fall festivals.

Warner Bros.’s budget-heavy “One Battle After Another” boasts a price tag north of $130 million, following several box office disappointments. The film is based on Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland and features a star-studded cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn.

In other news, Zach Cregger’s horror epic “Weapons” has been rescheduled from January 11, 2026, to August 8, 2025. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Animation’s “The Cat in the Hat” now premieres on February 27, 2026, and David Robert Mitchell’s “Flowervale Street” is pushed back to August 14, 2026.

These changes come as Warner Bros. studio faces scrutiny due to recent box office performances. The reworked release dates aim to boost the studios’ fortunes ahead of the CinemaCon presentations.
