Warren Buffett says he hasn’t spoken to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates since Epstein scandal emerged.
Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, told CNBC that he doesn’t want to be called as a witness and doesn’t want to discuss the issue further. However, he expressed his admiration for their personal friendship and Gates’ philanthropic efforts.
The two men formed The Giving Pledge, an initiative encouraging wealthy individuals to donate most of their wealth to charity. Buffett spoke fondly of their partnership but said he won’t engage in conversation until the Epstein scandal is cleared up.
Buffett criticized Epstein as a “con man” who exploited people’s weaknesses and took advantage of his success. He also mentioned that Gates could have invited him to meet Epstein but didn’t, which he attributes to gratitude for not getting involved.
