Washington Commanders’ Training Camp Update: Miller’s Impact and QB Room Focus

The Washington Commanders’ training camp has kicked off in Ashburn, Virginia, with coach Dan Quinn focusing on position battles and depth chart movement. Edge rusher Von Miller is expected to bring versatility and help linebacker Frankie Luvu, who shares a similar playing style.

Quinn praised Miller’s ability to rush from multiple positions, including up or down, as well as execute stunts. This added depth will allow Luvu to become more effective as a blitzer. The coach also gave Miller a veteran’s day off on the second day of camp, aiming to keep him healthy and productive throughout the season.

Meanwhile, quarterback Jayden Daniels has made significant improvements in his efficiency and decision-making since last year. He focused on improving his footwork during the offseason and displayed it in 11-on-11 drills. Daniels led a successful check play that resulted in a big gain for running back Kazmeir Allen.

Rookie Josh Conerly Jr. worked with the second offensive line, and Miller took several pass-rushing reps against him. However, quick passes negated any chance for pressure from Miller. With the preseason set to begin on August 7, fans can expect updates on these developing storylines.
