Netflix has added a new rom-com, The Life List, based on Lori Nelson Spielman’s 2013 novel of the same name. The film follows Alex (Sofia Carson), who, after her mother’s death, is given a list of childhood aspirations to fulfill and a final task: finding true love.
The story begins with Alex struggling to cope with her loss, but discovers a list left by her mother containing tasks such as skydiving and learning Italian. As she embarks on an “unforeseen and surprising journey”, Alex starts questioning her life choices and eventually meets Brad (Kyle Allen), who becomes the potential suitor for her affection.
