Netflix has released a teaser and new images for the upcoming season of “Wednesday”, starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character. The second season is set to premiere in two parts on August 6 and September 3.
According to the official series logline, the show follows Wednesday’s years as a student, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, stop a killing spree, and solve the mystery surrounding her parents. Ortega also produces the second season alongside other returning cast members, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo.
New series regulars for Season 2 include Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. Guest stars in the new season will feature Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Lady Gaga.
Tim Burton returns as director alongside Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson. The show’s co-creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar serve as showrunners and executive producers, along with other key crew members. MGM Television produces the series.
