Weirdest Phones Revealed at MWC 2025

Mobile World Congress 2025 has already showcased some incredible, yet unconventional, new phones that will be hitting stores later this year. These devices cater to specialty customers and may not make it to the mainstream market.

One concept phone that caught attention is the modular optical system by Xiaomi, which attaches a full-size camera lens to the back of the smartphone. The RealMe device takes it a step further with digital camera-size lenses that can be attached, allowing for professional-grade photography.

Samsung Display also debuted several innovative concepts, including a foldable gaming console and a unique clamshell-style folding phone with two hinges of different sizes. Another design twist is Samsung’s retro-futuristic Galaxy Z Flip 6, featuring a polygonal gray plastic exterior.

For the more affluent, RedMagic has released a new version of its $650 gaming phone, the Golden Saga, which costs nearly three times as much and features gold-wrapped and precious metal plating. A more affordable option is also available in Mora Pink for those looking to upgrade their gaming experience without breaking the bank.
