Wes Anderson is set to return to Focus Features with his upcoming film “The Phoenician Scheme.” The indie studio has acquired the worldwide distribution rights, a move that will see the director’s meticulously crafted world come to life once again. A star-studded cast, including Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, and Tom Hanks, will bring the story of Zsa-zsa Korda, one of Europe’s richest men, to the big screen.
Focus Features has a proven track record with Anderson’s previous films, including “Asteroid City” and “Moonrise Kingdom,” which earned significant box office success. The studio is once again set to distribute Anderson’s latest effort domestically, while Universal Pictures will handle international distribution.
“The Phoenician Scheme” will debut in limited release on May 30, 2025, before expanding wider on June 6. With a talented cast and production team behind it, the film promises to be another visually stunning and engaging addition to Anderson’s oeuvre.
