According to a 2023 interview with Le Monde, Benicio Del Toro was set to appear in every shot – a claim that seems at odds with the first trailer, which doesn’t show him in every frame.
The plot of The Phoenician Scheme appears to be centered around a father-daughter story with plenty of action. While details are scarce, a voiceover hints at a complicated relationship between the two leads. Despite the promise of an intriguing narrative, some viewers may find the first trailer’s cryptic message confusing – at least for now.
The cast list is as usual packed with big names that Anderson has collaborated with before.
