What to Expect from iOS 18.4 Beta Release

Apple has announced its plans for the upcoming iOS 18.4 beta release, promising several new features and changes that aim to enhance user experience. The expected update is scheduled to be released in April, following beta testing.

Key highlights of iOS 18.4 include enhancements to Apple Intelligence, which will power Siri’s capabilities with on-screen awareness, deeper per-app controls, understanding of personal context, and more. However, it’s essential to note that Apple Intelligence requires an iPhone 15 Pro or later models.

Another significant change is the expansion of Apple Intelligence into more languages, including English (India), English (Singapore), Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese, although not all languages will be available in April. Users can currently access localized English versions of Apple Intelligence on various regions.

iOS 18.4 also promises improvements to news notification summaries, which were temporarily unavailable on iOS 18.3 due to inaccurate summaries. The new feature may include more accurate summarizations, making them stand out visually with italicized text.

Additionally, the update is expected to introduce new emojis, in line with previous iOS releases that have introduced new options. Furthermore, users in the EU will be able to set default navigation and translation apps starting in spring 2025, giving them more control over their experience.

The feature of robot vacuum support will also be added to the Home app in an unspecified iOS 18 update, allowing users to control key functions with Siri voice commands.

While no official release date has been announced, users can expect the first iOS 18.4 beta release soon.
