When Will You Get Your April Social Security Payment?

Social Security payments are scheduled to be sent out in April, with four payments distributed throughout the month. The payment schedule depends on your birthdate, with different dates applying to those born between specific ranges.

Here’s a breakdown of when you can expect to receive your Social Security check:

– If you received Social Security benefits before May 1997, or if you receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income, payments are sent out every month on the same date. For most recipients, this is the 3rd of each month.
– However, if you have not received Social Security since May 1997, your payment schedule is determined by your birthdate. In this case:
– If you were born between January 1 and October 10, your check will be sent on the 9th of April.
– If you were born between November 11 and December 20, your check will be sent on the 16th of April.
– If you were born between December 21 and December 31, your check will be sent on the 23rd of April.

There’s an exception to this schedule: if your birthday falls on a date that coincides with a Wednesday, Social Security payments are typically sent out two weeks earlier.

If you’re missing your April Social Security payment or haven’t received it at all, the Social Security Administration suggests waiting three additional mailing days before contacting them. You can then call the national toll-free number: 1-800-772-1213 to get help.
