Who Will Get Drafted First? My Bold Predictions for the 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is just around the corner, with the first round set to unfold on April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Before the Tennessee Titans take their turn with the first overall pick and draft prospects start coming off the board, we asked a crucial question: what’s your bold prediction for Round 1?

I believe there could be four quarterbacks selected in the first round, with the Saints and Steelers facing uncertainty due to injuries or player availability. The Browns and Giants might pass on QBs at Nos. 2 and 3 overall but would surely consider moving up from the top of Round 2.

Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty is likely to be picked before the Raiders’ No. 6 spot, with several teams eyeing him as a potential starting running back. The Giants could use Jeanty to alleviate their FOMO after losing Saquon Barkley to the Eagles, while the Patriots might choose him to carry the load on offense.

At least seven edge rushers are expected to be drafted in the first round, with several talented prospects like Abdul Carter and Jalon Walker. However, I think there will only be one quarterback selected in Round 1: Cam Ward, whom Tennessee is likely to take with their No. 1 overall pick.

Two tight ends could also find themselves picked in the top 10, with Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland being potential targets for teams like the Jaguars and Jets. Matthew Golden could also sneak into the top 10, depending on where you click the link.

With three quarterbacks expected to be drafted, it’s clear that success in this league often relies on disrupting the quarterback position. As a result, several teams will likely pass on taking a QB in Round 1, leaving only one team willing to take the risk: the Titans with Cam Ward at No. 1 overall.
